Begun: 1909 in Sidney, Ohio
1930s: Designed the first contour cutting machine in the world
1950s: First American-built numerically-controlled machine were introduced by Monarch at 1955 Chicago Machine Tool Exposition. (This machine was the prototype of NC machines that have become the standard in the metalcutting industry.)
Today The New Monarch Machine Tool, Inc. continue to offering a full line of metalworking equipment and services under the Monarch Machine Tool name. With more then 44 models of machine of which many are built completely at the Monarch modern facility in Cortland NY, they offer the most complete range of equipment in the industry. They also continue to support the thousand of machines in the field with parts,service and rebuilding service from the Cortland facility.
