CncGcoder® History
Rick Ragnini, the developer of the CncGcoder®, began as an employee of IBM and worked on the development of the IBM PC. Rick left IBM and joined RBR Associates, Inc. in 1989. After unsuccessfully trying to help a customer find an easy DNC system, Rick felt there was a need for a machine tool operator-oriented system. Because the customer had difficulty working the PC-based systems, he wanted to develop a unit where no special computer skills were necessary. By integrating his machine tool and computer skills, these initial ideas were developed into the CncGcoder®. In 2001, the first CncGcoders® were created and shipped. Today, thousands of units in use are used in production daily.
